Watch Elephant 6's Tribute to Bill Doss

On July 30, Bill Doss of the Olivia Tremor Control passed away, devastating the Athens, Ga. music community. In addition to fronting the Olivia Tremor Control, Doss co-founded Elephant 6, the Athens-based recording company and community of artists, along with along with Robert Schneider, Will Cullen Hart and Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeff Mangum.

On Aug. 4, a memorial service was held at the 40 Watt in Athens. Not surprisingly, there was an outpouring of support from Doss’ friends, family and musical collaborators, all of whom attended to pay tribute to the late OTC frontman.

A 12-minute video of the proceedings was recently released. The video features Elephant 6 members telling stories and expressing their love for Doss in front of a picture slideshow commemorating his life. And, of course, they played some music as well.
