Former Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti Drummer Suing Band for $1 Million

Former Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti drummer Aaron Sperske has filed a lawsuit against the band seeking $1 million in punitive damages.

According to The Entertainment Law Digest, Sperske claims that he was “squeezed out” of an “oral partnership” that the band established in 2008 and is entitled to 25 percent ownership of the forthcoming album Mature Themes. The ex-drummer alleges that he and the three remaining members co-wrote all of the 13 songs on the album, and therefore should receive “profits from royalties and future shows.”

The lawsuit states that Sperske was taken out of the band against his will even though he performed “diligently and competently.”

Mature Themes will be released next week on Aug. 21.
