Fox Executive Confirms Prometheus Sequel

Whatever rumors of a sequel that Prometheus‘s semi-ambiguous ending created, 20th Century Fox has recently confirmed. According to Fox, Ridley Scott and the studio will be creating a sequel to Prometheus. President of production Emma Watts stated: "Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can’t rush it." In other words, don’t expect anything soon. The studio plans for the film to release in 2014 or 2015.

Prometheus grossed $303 million globally and featured what Ridley calls “DNA of the very first Alien.” The film received mixed reviews from critics and fans, with many complaining that Prometheus left too much unexplained. Now it seems the film’s reserved nature might have been intentional.
