Interpol's Paul Banks Details New Solo Album

Interpol’s Paul Banks has announced plans for his second solo effort this year, a 10-track self-titled LP.

The frontman has been creating solo music under the name Julian Plenti for three years, including an EP titled Julian Plenti Lives… in June. But with Banks, it appears he’s done with the moniker. The album is set for an Oct. 23 release through Matador Records.

The full-length was recorded in both New York and Connecticut with producer Peter Katis, who has previously worked with The National, Jónsi and, of course, Interpol. You can download album opener “The Base” below, and take a look at the full tracklist.
