Jay-Z Contributing to NBA 2K13, Adds More Artists to Festival
Jay-Z is in usual form, keeping himself as busy—and earning himself as many dollars—as possible.
The sometimes rapper and mostly business mogul is acting as executive producer for NBA 2K13, per an announcement by 2K Sports.
He’s given his two cents on different aspects of the game, including the intro sequences, menu screens, and naturally, the soundtrack. Associate in throne-watching Kanye West appears, as well as Meek Mill, Puff Daddy, Nas, Daft Punk, Santigold and Dirty Projectors.
A statement from Jay-Z revealed that it was exciting to “be a part of one of the best sports video games in history. NBA 2K13 will be the next evolution in sports and basketball culture, and I’m ready to usher in the new era of the franchise.”
In addition, it’s almost time for the Made in America festival to storm Philadelphia, and more acts have been added to the lineup. Among them are Drake, Chris Cornell, Run-DMC, Jill Scott, Gary Clark, Jr., The Hives and a DJ set by DJ Shadow.
