Listen to Bob Mould's New Single, "The Descent"

After reissuing the entire catalog of Sugar albums on Merge Records, Bob Mould also has a brand new album of solo material, Silver Age, set for release on Sept. 4. To get you excited about this upcoming effort, Mould has made available the first single from Silver Age, titled “The Descent.”

“The Descent” is everything that you could want in a new Mould track. Loud, shimmering and direct, the track plays like the artist took a time portal back to Sugar’s prime, only with Jon Wurster and Jason Narducy backing him instead of Malcolm Travis and David Barbe. Stream the cut below and look for Mould as he heads out on tour this fall in support of both the new material and the reissues.
