Listen to Freelance Whales' New Song, "Spitting Image"

Queens, N.Y. multi-instrumentalists Freelance Whales are set to release their sophomore full-length album, Diluvia, on Oct. 9 via Mom + Pop/Frenchkiss Records.

Diluvia will follow up their 2010 debut, Weathervanes, which introduced Freelance Whales’ quirky instrumentation and delicate indie pop melodies. After two years of constant touring following its release, the band settled down in New York to record their second album with producer Shane Stoneback over the course of two months.

To give fans a preview of what to expect from their new release, the band recently released the album’s first single, “Spitting Image,” which you can listen to below.

Freelance Whales will also be touring North America this fall in support of Diluvia. Check out their full schedule below, as well as Diluvia’s tracklisting.
