Sierra Leonean singer Janka Nabay, who changed the traditional Bubu genre with his introduction of modern beats, has collaborated with New York-based rapper Pupa Bajah to release a national anthem called “Nar London.”

The song and video were created in honor for Olympian Ola Sesay, the only Sierra Leonean athlete to compete in the 2012 Summer Games. Mixing concert footage with Olympic snapshots, the video is meant to inspire support for the track and field star, who also contributed candid shots from London’s training grounds.

Janka Nabay and his band the Bubu Gang recently released their debut En Yay Sah on August 7 via Luaka Bop, which follows their acclaimed An Letah EP from earlier this year. The group is currently touring to support the new tracks, with two stops at the Chicago World Music Festival on Aug. 26 and 27 and a show at New York’s Museum of Modern Art on Aug. 30.
