Michael Keaton Cast To Play RoboCop Villain
RoboCop added some major star power in their most recent casting for the upcoming sci-fi flick. Variety reported that Michael Keaton has been added to play villain, Raymond Sellars.
RoboCop will be director Jose Padilha’s take on the original 1987 film, that first featured the crime fighting cyborg-cop. Keaton’s character, Sellars, is the CEO of the corporation that builds RoboCop.
“Michael is the final addition to the amazing cast we have assembled for this film and it is so great to have the last puzzle piece in place,” said Padilha in a recent interview with Variety.
Keaton joins Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Abbie Cornish in the remake, which is set to hit theaters Aug. 9, 2013.
