Neil Young and Crazy Horse's Next Album Titled Psychedelic Pill

Although Americana was just released in June, fans of Neil Young & Crazy Horse may get some original tracks sooner than expected. Earlier today, it was announced that the album’s follow-up will be named after a song they’ve been testing out on the road, Psychedelic Pill.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Crazy Horse guitarist Frank “Poncho” Sampedro gave a few details about the song’s origins:

“That song began in the studio when Neil sat down at the piano and began playing chords. Ralph [Molina] was on drums and he started this beat on the snare and wouldn’t stop for nearly an hour. We stood up and played it and realized it was a great song.”

Catch the guys on tour this fall beginning in October. See the full list of dates here.
