The New Yorker has posted a previously unpublished F. Scott Fitzgerald short story called “Thank You For the Light” that was originally submitted in 1936.
The 1,200-word story, about a “pretty, somewhat faded woman of forty” named Mrs. Hanson, was originally rejected by the magazine. You can read the full text of it on the New Yorker’s website over here.
