Ryan Gosling to Make Directorial Debut with How to Catch a Monster
Christina Hendricks to star in film
Indiewire is reporting that Ryan Gosling is set to make his directorial debut with How to Catch a Monster. The film will star Mad Men actress and Gosling’s Drive co-star, Christina Hendricks.

How To Catch a Monster weaves elements of fantasy noir and suspense into a modern day fairytale. Set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city, Billy, a single mother of two, is swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Both Billy and Bones must dive deep into the mystery, if their family is to survive.
How to Catch a Monster will be produced by Marc Platt and Adam Siegel, and will first be available for studios to purchase at the Toronto International Film Festival, which is slated to take place Sept. 6-16. Filming is scheduled to being sometime in the spring of 2013.
