Watch Mumford & Sons, Dawes Cover The Beatles
On Aug. 16 Mumford & Sons performed at the Chicago Theatre to celebrate WXRT’s 40th Anniversary. During the encore, the band was joined by opening act Dawes for a crowd-pleasing cover of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends.”
Dawes lead singer Taylor Goldsmith took the reins on the first verse, with the crowd singing along. Mumford & Sons’ Marcus Mumford added to the chorus, and alternated back and forth between Goldsmith’s falsetto and his own lower register for the remainder.
