Watch The Joy Formidable's Video for "Wolf's Law"

On their stellar 2011 debut, The Big Roar, The Joy Formidable rocked. The album revolved around heavy, distorted guitar riffs, powerful drumming and the angsty wail of frontwoman Ritzy Bryan.

The band recently released a video for “Wolf’s Law,” the first music we’ve heard from the Welsh power trio since their debut. The song signals a marked departure from The Big Roar, featuring piano, strings and toned-downed vocals from Bryan.

The black-and-white video only serves to heighten the song’s existential intensity. It features a number of images of the world in motion that flash across the screen in quicker and quicker succession as the song gets more and more emotionally weighty.
