Yeasayer’s PSCYVOTV Video Hunt Begins (UPDATED)

UPDATE
It looks like Yeasayer will be premiering these videos on various sites throughout the day. Keep an eye on their media pages for clues if you’re in a hunting mood. We’ll post the videos below as they premiere, so be sure to check back to get a full taste of Fragrant World as it appears—but don’t forget that the hunt is over Aug. 3.

Original Story
The hunt is on. Earlier this morning, Yeasayer announced via their Facebook page:

“We have received a message that we are on the verge of embargoed information being leaked through the cracks of the digital universe. Once again an attempt to tell the story before our mouths can spit. In order to have the edge we have created PSCYVOTV standing for PREEMPTIVE SELF-COMMISSIONED YEASAYER VORSTELLUNG or TRACK VISUALIZER.”

The band is scattering “moving visuals,” created by Yoshi Sodeoka, for every song on the album to the corners of the Internet. Fans can hunt down these videos until Friday, Aug. 3, when Yeasayer will remove PSCYVOTV at 8 p.m.

There are no clues as to how fans are supposed to find these videos, beyond frantic Google searching. The band urged fans who find all the visuals to remember the track listing, and to remember that “it’s fun to share, but more important to support.”

Fragrant World is due out Aug. 21 via Secretly Canadian. Check out the videos below.
