30 Rock Lends Tina Fey to The Simpsons

Another big name has been added to list of guest stars tapped to appear on this season of The Simpsons: Tina Fey. She’ll be joining Tom Waits and The Decemberists whose voices will also be heard in upcoming episodes of the animated comedy.

Executive producer Al Jean reveals that Fey will play a substitute teacher who bullies Lisa and gives her a dreaded “B” grade. The show’s 24th season is set to start Sept. 30 on Fox. Fey’s episode, titled “Black-Eyed, Please,” is scheduled to air sometime in the spring.

Fey’s other project, 30 Rock, might have to be renamed “30 Rochte” when it returns in the fall, as it will have an Olympic-sized cameo courtesy of gold-medalist Ryan Lochte. Writer Jack Burditt tweeted this picture today as proof. There’s no news yet on when the episode will air.

30 Rock will begin its final season Oct. 4 on NBC.
