Arcade Fire Pairs With Céline Dion to Headline Benefit Concert

The only thing Arcade Fire seems to have in common with Céline Dion is their shared home country of Canada. On Oct. 1 worlds will collide in Montreal, Quebec at Metropolis when the unlikely pair headline a benefit concert for Denis Blanchette, a lighting technician who was killed during the shooting at the Parti Québécois’ victory party for its provincial election win in Quebec.

Other musicians set to perform include Coeur de Pirate, Ian Kelly and Patrick Wilson. All money raised from the event will be donated to Blanchette’s daughter and a colleague who survived the shooting.
