Wachowskis' Cloud Atlas Gets Oct. 26 IMAX Release

The Wachowski and Tom Tykwer-helmed epic Cloud Atlas will be released in IMAX theaters Oct. 26. Following in the footsteps of another Wachowski classic, The Matrix, the film has been digitally remastered for the complete IMAX experience.

According to Greg Foster, chairman and president of IMAX Filmed Entertainment, “Trailblazing filmmakers Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis understand how to transport moviegoers through ground-breaking imagery and scale.”

Cloud Atlas is based on the book of the same name by David Mitchell. The film stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Hugh Grant. The film adaptation was written and directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski and Tykwer.
