Cops found hash in tour bus at border stop

Update:* Following Apple’s statement about her arrest (available to watch below), Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Rusty Fleming is firing back telling the singer to “just shut-up and sing.” His entire letter to Apple can be read on TMZ.

Update: Apple’s show tonight at ACL Live has been postponed. The venue will release details here as they are released, but the venue states that all tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.

Well, now she could really be a criminal. Fiona Apple was arrested in Texas yesterday at a border stop after authorities found hashish on her tour bus, according to TMZ.

The singer was stopped at the border check in Sierra Blanca, Texas when police boarded her tour bus. Officers found a stash of hash, a strong form of cannabis.

Apple was arrested for possession and is still being held at Hudspeth County Jail.
