Jim James to Perform at Obama Event in New Hampshire

On Oct. 1, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James is set to perform at Keene, N.H.’s Colonial Theater as part of an awareness event for the upcoming presidential election. The event will take place on behalf of the Obama campaign.

Joining James on stage will be MMJ multi-instrumentalist Carl Broemel. Craig Finn of The Hold Steady will open.

“It is so crucial for us all to work together to help build on and continue the progress we have been making under President Obama’s leadership—to get America to be a land that takes care of its own and provides equal opportunity to all—regardless of gender, race, or creed,” James said. “I believe in President Obama’s vision for America—at home and as a better friend to the world—and want to help raise awareness of the importance of a person’s right to vote.”

The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will be free of charge. But if you’re planning to attend, you will need a ticket. Tickets can be picked up at any of the event’s distribution centers, which are listed below.
