J.J. Abrams Sells New Robot Drama To Fox

According to Entertainment Weekly, television’s biggest producer, J.J. Abrams, has sold a new buddy-cop drama to Fox.

The show takes place in the near future and will center around the Los Angeles police department. In order to differ from all the other cop dramas currently on TV, Abrams’ drama will feature robots. Apparently in the “near future” all police officers will have highly evolved human-like androids as partners (sounds a little like I, Robot).

Abrams will served as executive producer for the yet-to-be-titled show along with Fringe’s, J.H. Wyman and Bryan Burk.
