Mae Whitman to Return to Arrested Development

Fans of Arrested Development have reason to celebrate. After a slew of announcements about returning cast members and new additions, Mae Whitman confirmed her return as Ann Veal, George Michael’s extremely bland girlfriend and egg lover.

Whitman was very interested in reprising her role as the series’ dullest character. In an interview with Hollywood.com, she said, “"I’ve always been like ‘Oh I don’t want to give anything away,’ but I definitely, definitely wouldn’t ever let this chance go by without being a part of it.”

The Bluths and friends will return in spring of 2013, with the new season of Arrested Development appearing on Netflix.
