The Return of Obamicon: Create Your Own Image

Published at 3:27 PM on September 27, 2012

In 2007, a few months before that year’s Presidential election, we launched Obamicon.me, our web app that allowed users of any political stripe to create their own take on Shephard Fairey’s famous Obama “HOPE” poster. Imagine our surprise when it become a monster hit, spawning millions of “Obamicons” and dominating seemingly everyone’s Facebook profile pictures, peaking around the inauguration.

Obamicon allows you to make your own statement or just have a little fun. And we’ve teamed up with Zazzle to allow you to create and order products with your custom Obamicons printed right on them. You can put your Obamicon on a t-shirt, an iPhone case or dozens of other things (even onesies). The response has been incredible, so we’ve updated the product selection and relaunched Obamicon for this election season.

To get you started, we made Obamicons featuring some notable recent albums and the rating Paste assigned to each. Click to enjoy and then head to Obamicon.me and make your own statements.
