The Rolling Stones to Release Massive Greatest Hits Set
GRRR! due out Nov. 13 in North America
The Rolling Stones’ year-long 50th anniversary celebration continues with the band’s recent announcement that they’ll be releasing a greatest hits compilation, titled GRRR!, on Nov. 12 internationally and Nov. 13 in North America.
And this is no ordinary greatest hits compilation. The collection will contain 50 tracks and will be available in several different formats including a 3-CD version that includes a 24-page booklet, a 3-CD deluxe edition that includes a 36-page hardback book and five postcards and a 12" vinyl box set. An 80-track, 4-CD super deluxe edition is also available.
A complete tracklisting is yet to be released, but GRRR! will include everything from the band’s first single, a 1963 cover of Chuck Berry’s “Come On,” to “Get Off of My Cloud,” to “Brown Sugar,” to “Star Me Up.” Also featured will be new studio recordings from a session in Paris, France that took place in August. The session marked the first time all four band members had recorded together since the sessions for their last release, 2005’s A Bigger Bang.
