This week on Twitter, the NFL’s replacement referee debacle was thrust into the limelight following a controversial call to end Monday night’s Packers/Seahawks game. In fact, an angry tweet by Packer lineman T.J. Lang (featured below) broke boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s record by receiving, to date, over 98,000 retweets. The tweet also garnered Lang over 90,000 new followers in the span of a single day. Fortunately, the criticism forced the NFL to settle with the real refs, and Internet outrage has begun to subside.
