The 24-hour news cycle has long been a thing of the past. A 24-second news cycle is probably a more like it nowadays, as almost the instant a story breaks, million of opinions, complaints and jokes are posited 140 characters at a time on Twitter.

Tweets of the Week will provide you with a rundown of the week’s relevant pop culture goings on as commented on by some of the funniest tweeters out there. Blowing up news feeds this week were, of course, the leaked Mitt Romney video, arrests of Lindsay Lohan and Fiona Apple, iPhone 5 craziness, the Amanda Palmer controversy and much more.
