Adam Scott Adapting Chuck Klosterman Novel Into Movie

As one of the first movie projects for his new production company, Adam Scott has optioned Chuck Klosterman’s first novel, Downtown Owl.

Adam Scott and his wife Naomi recently launched Gettin’ Rad Productions and already the couple is off with a bang. Gettin’ Rad Productions was behind the recent Adult Swim special Greatest Event In Television History which featured Scott and Jon Hamm recreating the opening credits to Simon and Simon. The couple plan on doing three more similar specials for the cable network.

Television is not the only medium that the Scott’s are looking to produce. They will also venture into the movie business and it appears that their first movie will be an adaptation of Klosterman’s Downtown Owl. Gettin’ Rad Productions have just optioned the novel and recruited the help of Oren Uziel to write the screenplay.

“It’s lovely and moving and funny,” said Adam Scott in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. “We just thought it’s a really great story about people that I relate to but also small enough that it would make a good first film out of the gate for us.”

No further details have been released about the film.
