Apple Postpones Release of iTunes 11
It is quite rare for Apple to overshoot a release date, but that seems to be the case with iTunes 11. The company announced Tuesday that it would not be releasing its new iTunes software until November. The updates were originally scheduled to be released this month.
In a statement Apple claimed that the delay would allow the company to “get it right.” Missing from the statement, however, was a clear explanation as to what is wrong.
“The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right,” Apple said.
