Depeche Mode Announce First Album, Tour in Three Years

After three years of radio silence, Depeche Mode announced today its 13th studio album. The album is set for release this spring and the band is set to embark on a world-wide tour to promote it.

The English group made the announcement during a press conference webcast in Paris. The album will feature 20 new songs from the band and will be produced by Gore and Ben Hillier. During the press conference they gave audiences a small taste of the new sound and played an unnamed track from the upcoming project.

The release of the album will coincide with the start of their tour, which is set to begin May 7. So far all of the dates that the band have released have been for European venues. Dates for a North American tour are planned for after the bands European stint.
