Ghostbusters III Aims for Summer 2013 Production
And it still doesn't have Bill Murray
Following years of speculation, it appears Ghostbusters III may actually be happening this time. Deadline reported director Ivan Reitman is hoping to start shooting in the summer of 2013.
Fans have long questioned the project’s existence in the years following Bill Murray’s decision to decline any participation in a Ghostbusters sequel. But co-star Dan Aykroyd has long defended the project, insisting that the sequel would focus on the next generation of ghost catchers.
Should the film begin shooting on schedule, we could be looking at a 2014 premiere, though no official timeline has been released.
