1. Dave Grohl confirmed that Foo Fighters will be taking an indefinite hiatus, but that the band hasn’t broken up.

2. Sufjan Stevens released a Christmas stop-motion video with LEGOs.

3. Sufjan Stevens also announced an upcoming Christmas box set called Silver & Gold.

4. Chris Thile of The Punch Brothers received a $500,000 Genius Grant from the MacArthur foundation. We always knew he was a genius, but now it’s official.

5. Iggy Pop and the Stooges’ updated tour rider is hilariously awesome.
