Dinosaur Jr. enlisted the help of a special friend to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1987 album You’re Living All Over Me. According to NME, the Massachusetts rockers will be joined on stage by legendary guitarist Johnny Marr.
To celebrate this monumental milestone, Dinosaur Jr. will perform a special show at New York’s Terminal 5. The show will include two sets, the first being performance of the entire You’re Living all Over Me album and the second will feature three different musical guests. Marr was the first of the three guests to be announced. The former Smiths guitarist will join the band on stage to perform one or two songs. The announcement of the exciting news was made on Dinosaur Jr.’s website earlier today.
“On December 1, Dinosaur Jr. will celebrate the 25th anniversary of You’re Living All Over Me at Terminal 5 in New York City. The band will play the album in its entirety followed by a second set spanning their catalogue with very special musical guests joining them onstage. We’re excited to announce the first of these special guests: Johnny Marr, known for his work in The Smiths, Modest Mouse & The Cribs. Marr will sit in with Dinosaur Jr. for a song or two, and we’re thrilled he’ll be celebrating with us. More special guests to be announced,” the statement read.
Recently the band released their 10th studio album I Bet On Sky. Dinosaur Jr. and Marr’s performance at Terminal 5 is set for Dec. 1.
