Showtime Renews Homeland for Third Season
One of the most popular new drama series to emerge in the past few years, Showtime’s Homeland, has been renewed for a third season. Deadline reported that the order is for twelve new episodes to be produced.
Homeland recently had a strong showing at the Primetime Emmys, capturing awards for acting and writing in addition to being selected as the best drama series on television. Ratings for the show’s second season continue to elevate, with the latest episode gathering a series-record 1.75 million viewers.
Homeland’s Sunday night companion Dexter, has also been renewed.
