The highly anticipated 23rd James Bond caper finally hit theaters internationally this weekend, and the response lived up to the hype. Box Office Report is claiming that Skyfall raked in an impressive $77.7 million from 25 markets. The film earned $32.4 million in the U.K. alone, securing the nation’s second-biggest opening weekend ever.
In conjunction with this good news, Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson have agreed to let Skyfall writer John Logan conjure two more Bond scripts, reportedly with an overarching plot line. According to Deadline, Logan pitched an original two-movie arc to the Bond showrunners during the production of Skyfall and has been granted permission to begin writing the scripts.
Should the studio agree to film Logan’s scripts, this would be the first Bond film with a plot spreading over multiple films.
