2013 Songwriters Hall of Fame Nominees Announced

Last week the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their list of nominees for 2013. Now, another Hall of Fame has announced its lists. The Associated Press received the list of the 2013 Songwriters Hall of Fame nominees.

While the Songwriters Hall of Fame isn’t releasing an official announcement about the nominees until Oct. 16, they have released the names.

The list of nominees includes, Elvis Costello, B.B. King, Ray Davies, Jimmy Buffett,Vince Gill, Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart, Linda Perry, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood and Bobby Womack. Also nominated are Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie, Foreigner’s Mick Jones and Lou Gramm and finally Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, and Joe Perry.

Some of the non-performing songwriters competing for the honor include Bobby Braddock and Don Covay.

Voting for the 2013 Songwriters Hall of Fame ends Dec. 17. The winners will be honored with a gala on June 13 in New York City.
