Tweets of the Week

Another debate! Have past presidential elections featured a debate a week leading up to the big day like this one has? I suppose they have, but with the emergence of Twitter, coverage and reaction has achieved a new level of ubiquity. Now, with the debates over and less than two weeks until the election, people like Ann Coulter and Donald Trump seem to be willing to step up to fill the void as prime fodder for tweeters.

Not surprisingly, the week was filled with the usual amount of reaction, jokes and meme creations in reference to the final organized confrontation between Obama and Romney. There was also, of course, plenty of commentary surrounding Coulter’s comments and Trump’s proposition to Obama.

Also in the news was Lance Armstrong being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, Apple’s huge iPad mini announcement and still more Halloween costume discussion.
