Joanna Newsom Unveils New Song in San Francisco

On Sunday at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival, Joanna Newsom treated attendees to a never-before-heard song.

Dubbed “Look and Despair” by YouTube user enjoytheeighties, who posted video of the performance, the song features only Newsom’s vocals and an a delicate piano line.

Joanna Newsom’s last release was the 2010’s triple album Have One On Me. There hasn’t been any word of a follow-up, but the new material is certainly a strong indication that one might be in the works.
