Bradford Cox to Play Jared Leto's Lover in The Dallas Buyers Club

Eccentric Deerhunter and Atlas Sound frontman Bradford Cox has been tapped to play Jared Leto’s love interest in a new movie that will also star Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The Jean-Marc Vallée-directed film, called The Dallas Buyers Club, will focus on the real-life story of Ron Woodruff (McConaughey), a man who decided to experiment with alternative drugs after being diagnosed with AIDS in 1986. Cox will play the lover of Jared Leto’s character, a cross-dresser who is also infected with AIDS. Filming is currently underway in New Orleans.
