Dave Grohl to Drum on Queens of the Stone Age's Next Album
In a recent interview with BBC Radio, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme announced that drummer Joey Castillo is no longer with the band, and that Dave Grohl will be wielding the sticks on QOTSA’s upcoming album.
The Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer also appeared on the band’s 2002 album Songs for the Deaf. The new album is yet to be titled, but is expected out sometime in 2013.
And to prove Grohl’s involvement, the band tweeted a picture of the studio mixing board with “Dave’s Drums” written on it. Take a look to the right.
