Batman and Superman are going digital. According to a release on its website, DC Comics will start releasing its books on all major e-readers, including Kindle, Nook and iPad, today. They are the only comic book publisher to sell its books in all major e-reader stores. The company will also release all titles on the same day they hit comic stores.
With digital comic book sales increasing, DC offers a new experience for readers more attached to their tablets than ever.
DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee said, “As e-readers and tablets continue to explode in popularity it’s important for us to offer consumers convenience and choice in how they download digital comics and graphic novels and these new distribution deals with the top three e-bookstores do just that.”
