The National Covers Bob's Burgers' Thanksgiving Song

In unexpected, though not entirely unwelcome news, Ohio-bred quintet The National have covered the Thanksgiving song from last night’s episode of Bob’s Burgers. The show’s producers reportedly reached out to the band to record a more somber and haunting take, and we’re thankful they obliged.

Check out both the original and cover version of the Thanksgiving song below. Matt Berninger’s darker interpretation of the lyrics “kill, kill, kill, kill the turkey” certainly makes for a different vibe than we’re typically used to on this holiday.
