Jamie Foxx in Talks to Play Villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Jamie Foxx might soon be joining the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, joining Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley (who, it was announced last week, will be playing Mary Jane Watson).

Variety reports the actor would play Electro, the alter ego of Max Dillon, Spider-Man’s enemy and a man who can control electricity.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is expected to hit theaters May 2, 2014. Jamie Foxx can be seen in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained when it’s released Dec. 25, 2012.
