Kathryn Hahn, Allison Janney Join Jason Bateman's Bad Words

Jason Bateman is set to make his feature film directorial debut with the spelling bee comedy Bad Words in which he’ll also star as a high school dropout who enters a spelling bee for children. The script, written by Andrew Dodge, made The Black List in 2011.

Deadline reports that some big names have been added to the cast, including Kathryn Hahn, Allison Janney and Phillip Baker Hall. The latter two will play heads of the spelling bee group.

Production is expected to begin this week in L.A.
