Trailer for Kanye West's Cruel Winter Proved Fake

A few days ago, an ominous trailer for Kanye West’s latest project Cruel Winter hit the internet. The buzzworthy video was thought to be a follow-up to West’s film Cruel Summer but has now been debunked as fake. Fuse reports that the video was directed by Austin Christianson, who has worked with Wiz Khalifa in the past.

“Without getting into many details, I will say that the trailer was independently made and the video is essentially a concept trailer,” Christianson told the website. “It’s used for pitching an idea and/or concept to a client. With that said, the video was being used for pitching purposes and it’s naturally intended only for the client to see.”

The Cruel Winter trailer features the voice of George H.W. Bush delivering a speech over images of a snowy landscape. Check it out below.
