Listen to Amy Klein's New Single With Hilly Eye, "Amnesia"

Last year, guitarist Amy Klein left Titus Andronicus to focus on her side projects, namely Hilly Eye, her band with drummer Catherine Tung. The duo signed to Don Giovanni Records earlier this year, and on Jan. 22 they’ll release their debut album, Reasons to Live.

Hilly Eye recently released their forthcoming debut’s lead single, “Amnesia.” The song begins innocently enough, with downplayed vocals and a steady drum beat punctuated with regular cymbal crashes from Tung. Eventually, though, Klein hits the distortion pedal, the riffs get heavier and her voice begins to soar as she sings “My country…it lies.”
