Listen to Sufjan Stevens' Take on "The Star Spangled Banner"

If your election day wasn’t exciting enough, Sufjan Stevens just dropped his own take on “The Star Spangled Banner” through his not-so-secret Soundcloud page (via his not-so-secret Tumblr).

In true Stevens fashion, it’s a layered, orchestral take on the track with those unmistakable, whispered vocals—and this time around, his timing couldn’t be better. Stevens also released a brand new Christmas song titled “Angels We Have Heard on High,” which we’d expect to be on his forthcoming Christmas collection. Check them both out below.
