Netflix in Talks With AMC to Revive The Killing

Netflix looks like it is becoming the unsung hero for cancelled television shows. Deadline reports that the streaming company is in talks to bring the AMC mystery drama The Killing back to life.

The Killing was canceled in July when AMC decided to not renew the show for it’s third season. After the announcement of the cancellation, the show’s production company, Fox Television Studios, promised to find the show a new home. Now it looks as if the search might be over. After hearing a third season pitch from executive producer Veena Stud, AMC set out to make a deal with Netflix to share the cost of production of the third season. If the deal moves forward, filming of the third season would likely begin in February. The show would then first air new episodes on AMC before becoming available to stream on Netflix.

The Killing would be the second show that Netflix brought back from the dead. Currently, the website has everyone patiently awaiting new episodes of Arrested Development.
