Twitter Responds to the End of the Twinkie

Donald Woods, president of the union that represents hundreds of workers in Illinois Hostess plants, talked to the Chicago Sun-Times after the announcement that Hostess Brands is going out of business. “It’s a very sad day because there’s lots of history there,” Woods said. "We have members who’ve had 40 years there. … Their dream was working there and retire there.”

But aside from tons of jobs lost (the factory closing means nearly 18,500 layoffs), Twitter had a bigger concern today: There will be no more Twinkies—for now, at least, unless someone purchases the Hostess brand.
