The Beatles Create Pop-Up Stores to Celebrate Release of Vinyl Albums

Next week, the Beatles will be releasing special vinyl editions of their remastered studio albums, but not in the typical fashion. To celebrate the release, two double-decker buses will drive around New York and Los Angeles and serve as pop-up shops.

The buses will be making their rounds on Nov. 13 and will be filled to the brim of Beatles memorabilia, including the 14 stereo LP’s. The LP’s include 12 U.K. originals, the U.S.  Magical Mystery Tour and the b-sides of Past Masters Volumes One & Two. The pop-up shops will also include the newly restored Magical Mystery Tour DVD and Yellow Submarine DVD. To help remember the occasion, the stores will have a unique t-shirt which will feature a design exclusive to each city.

New York pop-up will first stop at Seventh Avenue between 49th Street and 50th Street at 9: 30 a.m. and then will head over to Broadway between Price Street and Spring Street at noon. The final New York stop will be at 2: 30 p.m. on Broadway between Cortlandt Street and Liberity Street. For the Los Angeles crowd, the first stop will be at Captiol Records building at 1750 North Vine St at 9:30 a.m. It will then head over to ICE at Santa Monica skating rink, 1324 5th St. at Arizona Avenue at noon, before finally stopping at L.A. Live at Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street at 2:30 p.m.
