Though Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film The Master clocks in at over two hours of screen time, there are a number of unmistakable omissions present in the final cut that appear in the film’s various trailers. It has now been confirmed that the DVD release of The Master will include a 20-minute collection of deleted scenes and extended takes from the film.
Anderson was recently on hand for An Evening with Paul Thomas Anderson, presented by Film Independent, in which he presented the footage. In addition to the extended look at The Master the event included screenings of two John Huston documentaries that heavily influenced Anderson.
No official date has been set for the DVD release of The Master. (via SlashFilm)
